Tony Stark is a multimillionaire playboy, CEO of his own company Stark International, and a founding member of the Avengers. After falling victim to a near-fatal accident that logded a piece of shrapnel in his chest, Stark built a suit of armor while in captivity to save his life and became the hero known as Iron Man. Over the years, Stark has battled against many foes wishing to steal the Iron Man technology, and has also suffered from alcoholism. With the departure of Steve Rogers, Tony has stepped into the role as the Avengers' leader and chairman.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
Created by the monstrous robot known as Ultron from the remains of the original android Human Torch and the brain patterns of Wonder Man, the Vision was originally used as a weapon to destroy the Avengers. The Vision ended up betraying his programming and joined the Avengers, and even enjoyed a romance and short-lived marriage with the Scarlet Witch. After a rogue program caused the Vision to try and take over the world through its computer systems, he was dismantled and later rebuilt, devoid of some of his experiences but still maintaining his resolve to be a hero.
THE VISION
After her parents died, Ororo Munroe grew up on the streets of Cairo, living as a street thief and a pickpocket. When Ororo's mutant ability of weather manipulation manifested, she traveled to Kenya and was worshipped by the villagers there as a goddess. It was there that she was found by Charles Xavier and accepted his offer to join the X-Men. As Storm, Ororo served as a stalwart member of the X-Men for many years, even leading them on many occassions. Now, she serves as the X-Corporation's liaison to the Avengers.

The son of the mutant terrorist known as Mystique, Kurt Wagner possesses incredible agility, as well as prehensile hands, feet, and a tail. He also possesses a mutant ability to teleport from one location to another. Saved from an angry mob by Professor Xavier, Nightcrawler spent many years with the X-Men before leaving to found Excalibur. After returning to the X-Men for a period, Nightcrawler joined Pete Wisdom's X-Corps but found their methods a bit distasteful. NIGHTCRAWLER
An electronics expert, Scott Lang turned to burglary to support his family. He was captured and when he was released, he began working for Stark International. But when his daughter became seriously ill, Lang broke into Hank Pym's home and stole his Ant-Man technology in order to return to crime. When he returned the equipment, Pym offered to let Scott keep it provided he use the Ant-Man identity to uphold the law. Having served with the Fantastic Four and the Heroes For Hire, Scott recently followed in Hank's footsteps by becoming an Avenger and currently serves the team as a reservist.

JARVIS
An Agent of SHIELD, there is very little known about Maria Hill. She appeared seemingly out of nowhere and was recently promoted to the status of the Avengers' liaison with SHIELD by her superiors in the United Nations. The truth of the matter is that Hill was granted this promotion by the shadowy organization known as Control in order to have someone inside Avengers Island who would allow them to keep an eye on Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Whether Hill is aware of Control's true intentions remains a mystery.
