One of the founding members of The Avengers, Janet Van Dyne possesses the ability to shrink down to approximately two inches high, at which size she displays enhanced strength and endurance, can fly with the aid of insect wings, and can stun an adversary with powerful, bioelectrical strings. Up until recently Janet was a member of the X-Corporation, a human/mutant rights organization, but now seeks to re-establish herself in her traditional identity of the superheroine The Wasp.
THE WASP
The younger cousin of T'Challa, King of Wakanda, Shuri has proved herself worthy of adopting the mantle of Wakanda's sacred figurehead and champion The Black Panther, at a time when T'Challa has become indisposed. A skilled fighter trained in numerous disciplines of unarmed martial arts and weaponskills, Shuri also wears the traditional Panther costume, which consists of an unique Vibranium weave that enhances her resistance to harm and Adamantium-tipped Vibranium claws.
BLACK PANTHER
Bitten by the vampire Baron Blood during the London Blitz in World War II, Lady Jacqueline Falsworth was saved by a transfusion of synthetic chemical blood from the android Human Torch that fundamentally altered her physiology, and thereafter she joined The Invaders as the heroine Spitfire. Now, over six decades later, Jackie seemingly remains in the flush of youth despite being over eighty years old, and possesses the power to propel her body at incredible speeds.
SPITFIRE
Daughter of the other-dimensional witch Umar and descendant of the pure-energy race known as The Faltine, Clea is an accomplished sorceress in her own right and has served for many years under the tutelage of Doctor Strange, Earth's Sorcerer Supreme. Able to traverse the mysterious pathways between dimensions, Clea spends much of her time ensuring that the realm of her birth - the Dark Dimension - remains resistant to invasion, but she retains her affection for the Earthly plane.
CLEA
The daughter of a human mother and Atlantean mother, and cousin to Namor, the Sub-Mariner, Namora fell foul of the machinations of the evil Llyra of Lemuria many decades ago. Poisoned and placed in the near-death-state of suspended animation, Namora's body has recently been recovered in Antartica, and she has been revived in the modern world. Extraordinarily strong and resilient, and equally at home on land or in the oceans, Namora's hybrid biology unfortunately renders her prone to enraged mood swings.
NAMORA
A young Frost Giantess of Jotunheim, one of the Nine Worlds alongside the kingdom of Asgard, Skadi lives with her kindly father Thiazzi but is saddened to learn of her impending marriage to an elder Giant, Njord. Offered an alternative to her predetermined future by an unexpected and not entirely trustworthy source in the form of Amora The Enchantress, Skadi now finds herself destined to eke out an existence on Midgard - Earth - in human guise, a ploy that can surely only end in disaster.
