Labs in Springdale as a gofer, Robbie Baldwin sneaked into the lab to observe
a top secret experiment. The energies went out of control, washing over
Robbie and granting him a permanent kinetic field. This field makes Robbie
virtually impervious to harm, and the "Speedball effect" grants
him his costume, larger stature, and allows him to use his kinetic abilities
in a variety of ways. One of the founding members of the Warriors, Robbie
now lives in New York with his mother and is in his fifth year of high school.
