Although actually the son of Nick Fury, Mikel was told by his mother, Amber D'Alexis, that he was the son of Fury's brother, Jacob. Raised as a member of the Carpasian royal family, when Mikel reached adulthood he took on Jacob's former identity of Scorpio. Allied with his mother and the terrorist organization called the Swift Sword, Mikel attacked several SHIELD outposts. But during a confrontation with Nick, Mikel learned the truth of his parentage. Nick brought his son into SHIELD, intent on reversing the lifetime of brainwashing. After briefly being expelled from SHIELD for attempting to kill the Punisher, Mikel was eventually reinstated. |

An agent of SHIELD, Kate Waynesboro was sent undercover as Bruce Banner's lab assistant during a period when he had control over the Hulk persona in order to ensure that he didn't lose control again. They eventually became romantically linked, but the relationship was called into question when Banner discovered her identity. Briefly transformed by AIM into Ms. MODOK, Kate resigned from SHIELD after she was transformed back in order to continue her personal and professional relationship with Banner. However, when Banner lost control of the Hulk once more, Waynesboro returned to SHIELD. |

An ex-con who had been in and out of prison, John Garrett's record was wiped clean when he became an Agent of SHIELD. While researching Elektra's past, Garrett became victim of a psychic link with her, and she began to influence his perceptions and manipulate his actions. When Garrett confronted her, she nearly killed him. Garrett's body was recovered by ExTechOp, who replaced eighty per cent of his body with cybernetics. After serving as a pawn of Elektra's for a time, Garrett eventually broke free of her control and returned to SHIELD. |

Jake Oh is one of the youngest SHIELD agents ever to be recruited at eighteen. His skills lie within the creation of armour and weaponry, his knowledge and innovation would rival even that of Stark Enterprises. His ancestry ties back into the attacks on Pearl Harbour – sins he feels the need to repent for. Oh is often led by his arrogance and his aggression can be a source of conflict, both of which are powered by his pride. Oh has little faith in the celebrity-based superheroes but has an admiration to be counted amongst their numbers. He was initially hired to replicate and reproduce armour similar to Iron Man and War Machine. |

Inali Redpath is a former agent of SHIELD who was taken over by the god of his people, Haokah, and transformed into a metahuman. Most of what Redpath has done is shrouded in mystery but he was once a foot soldier that has spent the last few years in the Raft – imprisoned for the crimes he committed. Inali is granted with abilities such as controlling the electrical currents provided by the atmosphere and transforming them in concussive blasts of lightning. Redpath is the most volatile and unpredictable member of the team and is forced to operate in a form of semi-coherent sedation. |

Victoria Hand is the SHIELD division with responsibilities focusing on logistics and the militia. Hand is known for having raised herself from simply one of SHIELDs accountants into one of their senior directors. Known for her calculated ambition, Hand keeps her cards close to her chest and gets the job done with as much efficiency as possible. She has been described as a “hard-ass” due to her no nonsense approach to running her division and her general attitude to those she commands, which is generally abrasive. |
