As a teenager, Peter
Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider and endowed with all of the proportional
strength and speed of the creature, as well as a 'spider-sense' that alerts
him of impending danger. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter vowed to
use his new powers for the good of the world and donned a costume to become
the hero called Spider-Man! Over the years he has left the mantle behind
in favor of a more normal life, but finds himself yet again playing the
part of hero, in addition to now being a teacher at Midtown High, his former school. |

One of Peter's classmates from high school, Eugene "Flash" Thompson was regarded as a god by his fellow classmates for his athletic skills on the football team. In addition, Flash also works at Midtown High School, which he and Peter once attended, as the school's new gym teacher. |

The publisher of
the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson is a tough-as-nails newsman who gave Peter
Parker a job as a freelance photographer when he was still in high school.
Ever since then, although Jonah has been gruff towards Peter, he secretly
is very proud of him. On the flip side, Jameson has spent the better part
of the past few years trying to discredit Spider-Man as a menace to society,
thinking of him as nothing more than a publicity-seeking glory-hound instead
of an actual hero. |

The wife of Ben Parker,
May and her husband raised Peter after the death of his parents when he
was a child. May and Ben treated Peter as if he was their own son and May
especially has always fretted over him. After Ben's death, May did her best
to try to raise Peter, despite her own health complications. Although she
was presumed dead for a time, she was actually a captive of Norman Osborn.
Recently, May discovered Peter's double-identity and that he's really Spider-Man.
Although at first a bit uneasy, May has grown to accept her nephew's double-life
and takes pride in him. |
